We’ve got you covered
As a Qualified Collection Agency, we employ in-house legal counsel to file lawsuits on behalf of our clients when a debtor, who acknowledges they owe money and have adequate assets to pay their bill, just won’t.
Grant & Weber’s collectors are supported and monitored by our in-house legal counsel throughout the collection process to ensure the most current debt collection legislation is used at all times.
After representing collection agencies for several years, Reid L. Steinfeld, Esq. became in-house counsel for Grant & Weber in 1993. Mr. Steinfeld has authored, and co-authored, several articles on debt collection and is a member of the Commercial Law League of America, Los Angeles County Board Association and the San Fernando Valley Bar Association. Listed in the Who’s-Who in American Law - Seventh Edition, Mr. Steinfeld is admitted to practice in the California U.S. District Court, Central, Eastern, and Northern Districts of California, Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Supreme Court of the United States. He brings to Grant & Weber a wealth of legislative knowledge, project and contract management support, and legal representation.
Grant & Weber’s aggressive posture with regard to protecting our clients’ financial interests, while simultaneously respecting the concerns of our client’s relationships, enables us to recover a high percentage of dollars owed our clients and maintain the high level of integrity for which we are well-known.
The values of using Grant & Weber’s in-house counsel, versus contracting with an external law firm are:
· We can be more aggressive in our recommendation(s) to litigate since we are more in control of the costs of litigation.
· Our skip-tracing abilities complement our unique approach to file analysis and allow us to locate debtors and serve legal process in a timely manner.
· We bring a powerful national network of attorneys to bear.
· Our expertise in collections and collection law to make recovery and litigation a seamless and integrated process.
