SPECIALIZED IN CREDIT UNION COLLECTIONS
Experience counts when choosing a collection agency, you should be assured that the collection agency has experience
specializing in collecting accounts receivable in your industry. For example, an agency unfamiliar with industry specific terminology, regulatory issues and credit union concerns cannot be as effective as one that has served that industry for years. Knowing proper terminology helps our staff to quickly relate information to the member, helping them to better understand the issues surrounding the member’s delinquency.

TRUST
It is imperative that your collection agency secures the money that it collects on your behalf. GRANT & WEBER has the following three security measures to protect your assets:
1) TRUST ACCOUNTING: all monies collected on your behalf are deposited into a trust account kept separate from our operating account.
2) INSURANCE: GRANT & WEBER carries “Errors and Omissions” insurance in order to protect your interests in the event of an unforeseen litigation.
3) BOND: As additional security, GRANT & WEBER is bonded so that you have recourse in the event the agency goes out of business.

KEEP YOUR MEMBERS INFORMATION SECURE
GRANT & WEBER has never allowed a breach of information or data by maintaining the highest standards of physical and technological security. We routinely undergo an independent SAS70 Type I audit to ensure that all member account data is secured from any threat of breach or natural disaster. In addition, our management and legal team ensures that the agency acts under strict compliance with all state legislations in accordance with the Gramm Leach Bliley Act of 1999; FDCPA, NCUA, and state law requirement.

To add another level of comfort to our credit unions, we are able to implement our advanced collection software and technology onsite at the credit union clients to limit the flow of data into the outside environment.

TECHNOLOGY
GRANT & WEBER uses a sophisticated result driven work queue collection software to manage account recovery. This software is the latest in advanced collection software and allows us to interface and upload electronic referrals, track collection activity, project productivity and recovery reporting, integrates full custom Ad Hoc reporting options and allows secure access for clients to view real time account status.

SAS70
SERVICE REPORT statement on auditing standards No. 70: Service Organizations, commonly abbreviated as SAS70, is an auditing statement issued by the Auditing Standards Board of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). SAS70 defines the professional standards used by a service auditor to assess the internal controls of a service organization and issue a service auditor’s report. Service organizations are typically entities that provide outsourcing services that impact the control environment of their customers.

Credit unions are being required to show adequate oversight of service providers, such as obtaining a SAS70 review, and to comply with Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) requirements. NCUA often asks credit unions to have a SAS70 audit conducted to ensure an independent third party has examined vendor controls over the processing of privacy information.
